he American Jujitsu Institute, headquartered in Honolulu, Hawaii is a Non-Profit, 501(c)(3)
Educational Institution which perpetuates Kodenkan/Danzan Ryu Jujitsu.

The founder of Kodenkan/Danzan Ryu Jujitsu, Henry Seishiro Okazaki, was instrumental in the formation of the AJI with the hope that it would carry his system of jujitsu to all persons interested in its study. This mission began in 1939 when the AJI was formed, continued through the development of an official charter in 1947, and remains our primary focus today.

Sad News

Louise Imiko Okazaki Mullins (Imi), daughter of Prof. Okazaki, passed away on Friday, January 4, 2008 at age 69. She brought a wealth of witt and humor to those around her and always remembered the children. She will be sorely missed.
